Several thousand Rallied Downtown in support of Palestinians!!

Israeli warplanes drove what appeared to be the biggest airstrikes yet on Gaza City, hours after the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, signaled the attack would storm on. The series of attacks early on Monday shook the city from north to south for a continuous 10MIN and was more intense, covered a broader area, and lasted longer than the raids 24 hours previously in which 42 Palestinians were killed – the deadliest single attack in the latest violence among all Israel and the Hamas militant group that rules Gaza. Local media reports said the central coastal road west of the city, security compounds, and free spaces were among the targets hit early on Monday. The power distribution company told the airstrikes damaged a line feeding electricity from the only power plant to wider parts of southern Gaza City. There were no instant reports of injuries.

“We can’t — indeed we must not — characterize these events within the context of war or religious conflict or who shot the first rocket,” Khalil said to a massive crowd of demonstrators. “This is false, misleading, and dangerous, and dehumanizing.”

The new outbreak of violence started in east Jerusalem last month when Israeli police raided al-Aqsa Mosque and hurt Palestinian worshippers during Ramadan, with Israeli authorities cautioning the removal of dozens of Palestinian families to be replaced by Jewish settlers.

Hamas, the militant group that operates in Gaza, started firing rockets toward Jerusalem on Monday, and Israel started its assault on Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli airstrikes have destroyed at least 188 Palestinians, including 55 kids and 33 women, with 1,230 people hurt. Some of the 3,100 rocket attacks launched from Gaza have stabbed eight people in Israel, including a 5-year-old boy and also a soldier. Netanyahu told the attacks were proceeding at “full force” and would “take time in a televised address.” Israel “wants to levy a heavy price” on the Hamas militant group, he stated.
